iOS 11(.2.6): Features for Teachers

As those iPads that are compatible should now be updated to iOS 11(.2.6) why not try out some powerful features for iPad and the classroom.

Below is a round up of the key ones which we think would be useful with short videos to get you started.

The Dock

A significant update sees the dock become more customisable: include more apps, quickly open recently most recently created files and drag and drop files.

Drag and Drop 

The new drag and drop feature makes iPad seem a little more like the desktop experience, though it will take a little practise!

Multitasking

Did you know you can have multiple screens visible when working across apps? It makes creating much quicker.

Scan QR codes from your Camera

There is no need to download a separate app you can now open up a QR code directly from the the camera on your iPad.

Document scanner built in to Notes app

An often neglected, but useful native app now has a document scanner built in- handy

Screen Record 

Want to create some app demos for learners, or get them to do it? You can now screen record as a built in feature of iOS 11. For detailed information and tips visit 9to5mac.
