Edinburgh Libraries are teaming up with 3P Learning, the creators of Mathletics, to run a free online maths competition for learners in schools across Edinburgh.
The event is open to all Edinburgh schools; and additionally Edinburgh Libraries are offering their members free access to Mathletics, the world’s most used mathematics website, after the challenge.
As well as a huge variety of fun maths learning activities, learners can compete online against other students from Edinburgh and around the world to test their maths skills.
The Edinburgh Libraries Mathletics Challenge starts on 27th April 2015 and runs all week. Pupils in participating schools will be able to complete activities and live online challenges throughout the week. Participation certificates will be awarded to all students and there will be prizes awarded to top schools and students for both achievement and improvement.
The 3P Learning team will be contacting all Edinburgh primaries in the coming weeks and will be managing registration for the event. Your school will also get full access to Mathletics free of charge for the week of the challenge. This is a great opportunity to engage your students and get them excited about maths, with student and class results tracked throughout the week so you can see exactly how your school is performing. Keep an eye out for communications from 3P Learning soon.
