Digital Commonwealth Project

Commonwealth Games logoThe Digital Commonwealth team are looking for clusters of schools to participate in an exciting digital media project funded by the Big Lottery Fund, the University of the West of Scotland and the MediaTrust.

The project aims to involve every Local Authority in Scotland in the digital reporting of the Commonwealth themes in the run up to the Queen’s Baton Relay in June 2014. They will work with schools to promote digital media literacy skills through a series of specialist workshops with associated learning materials mapped to Curriculum for Excellence requirements. These workshops will focus on audio, video, blogging and social media storytelling techniques, for up to 20 pupils (at P6 – S2 level) per cluster.

Further information about the project can be found by clicking here.

Any Edinburgh schools or clusters who are interested should contact the Digital Learning Team on 0131 469 2999 or digital@ea.edin.sch.uk
